Mmmm...update....tastes like chicken.... ;)

I went to D-land with my family last night, Matt drove from Tarzana to pick me up and we met Dad, Janet and Brynn at their hotel yesterday morning.  We had such a good time, Brynn officially loves the Grizzly Mt. water ride, Splash Mountain and Soarin' but hates Indiana Jones (too scary...she is just six).  I think the total number of rides was 13 yesterday (with the whole family) and then like two more after Janet and Brynn left.  That's a *lot* of rides; we never do the whole park thing.  Anyhow, it was much with the fun; I'm so very glad they came.

In other news, I too am a member of Safe Space Allies (for further discription, see Kristie's latest post).  I am also working on a couple art projects for fun and they're pretty. :)  I have no roomates, Kristie is spending the long weekend with Sydney and Katherine, Stacy's at home babysitting her elderly dogs while her parents are out of town and I am being responsible and staying home to memorize my music (for my senior recital) this weekend.  I'm actually really looking forward to that because my pre-recital is in December and if I really nail everything down this weekend, then there will be no freaking out in November (which is next month! ah!) when I realize I've only got like five weeks before my pre-recital/jury thing.  I hate freaking out so I am taking steps to prevent it. ;)

Hokay, I'm going to go eat some leftovers (we have Thai and a burrito in the fridge) and then play a little while my voice wakes up (I accidentally fell asleep last night before I was ready to fall asleep so I hadn't brushed my teeth yet and now I've got that icky, scratchy feeling despite brushing my teeth this morning--I think the critical mistake last night was laying down...but my feet hurt, so I did....oh well) ;)  And then I'm going to memorize! woo me! ;)

Love you all!

Sarah McLachlan makes me all gooshy inside.

This week, my desert island tracks (as my favorite radio station calls them) would be:

"Mirrorball"--Sarah McLachlan

"August and Everything After"--Counting Crows

and the "City of Angels" Soundtrack

yah...okay, back to music theory homework...(it's so good for me, but it's *hard*...*pout*) ;)

oh well :)

Look!  Updating again!  Woo me!

Hokay, I am totally thrilled about my senior recital, which has been moved slightly due to a scheduling conflict with my voice teacher, the new date and time is:

Saturday, March 26th, at 4pm in in the Fredrich Lowe Performance Hall

It used to be Thursday, but now it's not.  I liked Thurs better (for one, it's not the day before Easter) but I'll live with what I can get and find the best in it, like if my family comes down, maybe we can spend Easter together.  See?  A good thing.  This is me being optimistic.  Anyhow, my recital is going to rock.  You should come.

I am hungry but my friend-units are still reading "Hamlet" for their class and I'm waiting for them.  (It's okay, we're gonna eat soon...I hope) ;)

I really like this comic:

Okay, gonna go be pathetic and maybe we'll go eat ;)

Okay, so I promised Stephie that I would, a) update my xanga site, and b) try to update more regularly.  This is the beginning of those efforts.

First day of class went well; it's 11:56am and I'm now done for the day.  Well, I'm done with classes, there are a number of other things that I *should* do, like call Christopher's mom (I'm tutoring him this year), call Patty (voice teacher) to schedule a lesson time for the semester, add voice lessons to my schedule (but I can't do that until 2pm, 'cause that's when they're starting their little line of scheduling for the music dept).  Kris and I also need to shop for things like soap.  Soap is good.  Stacy could come too, but she doesn't need soap.  She can still come if she wants to.  Brb, must de-mucusify nose (the air here is not my friend and my body is mad at me for being here).  Ok, I can breathe again.

The trip down was good, long, but good.  We got to see Stephie and Eddie *twice* (at the beginning and the end) which was awesome.  We spent some time in LA with Kris' family and we tried to see Matt, but he's having a car debacle and that didn't work out, which is okay, we'll catch him later. :)

Ok, I'm going to go pretend I'm a productive human being and draw or call people or something.  :)

Today's the anniversary of Mom's death.  Ten years is a really odd thing to think about.  A decade.  That's a lot of time.  That's almost half my life.
